Jenny Richards Woodward was a beloved singer-songwriter, guitarist, and lifelong Modjeska Canyon resident whose music and warmth touched hearts from Southern California to the Sydney Opera House. Born into a renowned musical family, Jenny grew up harmonizing with her father Rusty, and siblings Jason and Amy Jo, eventually performing as part of Rusty Richards and Family.

By age ten, Jenny knew she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps, and she built a joyful life doing what she loved most—writing and sharing music. She led bands, performed with legends like Tanya Tucker and the Flying Burrito Brothers, and wrote dozens of original songs known for their soulfulness and emotional depth.

Known for her wide-ranging, expressive voice, Jenny also gave back generously to her community: she taught local kids guitar, hosted intimate canyon concerts, sang in churches, and volunteered for causes close to her heart.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—with her music, her kindness, and the joy she brought to every room she entered.
